The aim of this Buccal Midazolam & Epilepsy Awareness Course is to equip the learner with the knowledge, confidence and skills to ensure that the learner will develop a greater understanding of epilepsy and how to administer Buccal Midazolam correctly and how best to suport

BUCCAL MIDAZOLAM & EPILEPSY AWARENSS TRAINING

  • By the end of the session, learners will be able to;
  • Describe what epilepsy is and the different types of seizures.
  • Describe the first aid given during and following a seizure.
  • Identify the difference between status Epilepticus and Serial seizures
  • Understand the importance of documentation and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Recognise how epilepsy can impact on a person’s life.
  • Administer rescue medication appropriately.

 

DURATION: 8 hours

DELIVERY: Theory and Practical based training

ASSESSMENT: Tutor assessed delivered by a Qualified Instructor (NFQ Level 6)

CERTIFICATION: GSW Solutions Training Certification –

COST: €120 per person

RENEWAL it is recommended that training should be re visited not more than three (3) years.
